Single men and women are often accused of many prejudices. Most of the time, people see them as pathetic individuals. While this was true over 30 years ago, it is no longer the case today. The new generation of singles is quite happy. If you aren't yet, it's time to become one.
Prejudices to forget from now on
These research findings prove that now more than ever, celibacy has become a lifestyle and a choice. It is essential to reject them now to live in a more understanding society.
Avoid thinking that:
Single people are sad people. This is no longer the case, as most of them live better than the majority of the population. Being in a relationship is no longer synonymous with happiness or financial security.
They have an unbridled sex life. This isn't always true. This reality depends on each person's lifestyle.
They have psychological or behavioral problems. Or they are antisocial. Yet, most have more friends than people in relationships.
They are difficult. Having high emotional standards doesn't make someone difficult. They are simply clear-headed and want to remain in control of their lives, not suffer some fate.
Being single won't last. However, some singles decide to live alone their entire lives to avoid relationships and relationship problems. They accept this choice, so others must accept it.
Single people are repressed homosexuals or perverts.
They are inveterate epicureans.
Yes, single people are happy, at least some of them!
According to Psychologies magazine, single people are happy and enjoy many privileges that couples do not.
Unlike a couple with children, a single person has more time to take care of their well-being. They are more attentive to their own needs.
It's so rewarding, especially if you've just gotten out of a complicated relationship. A single person also has more time to devote to their hobbies. If you enjoy painting, for example, now's the time to create your best masterpiece.
This solitude has the advantage of allowing for much more imagination. You can decide on a whim to go on an adventure to the ends of the earth, without a partner. Meeting people is easier when you're alone than when you're stuck with another person. Of course, you can come with one or more friends, but that doesn't stop others from approaching you.
If you have friends, you become the one who's always up for an adventure. It could be a last-minute movie night, a weekend in the countryside, or an impromptu night out at the club.
However, neither boyfriend/girlfriend nor husband/wife is holding you back. You don't have to answer to anyone. Whether you come home late at night or early in the morning, no one will question you. You just live freely, without constraints (apart from work and family, of course).
In the evening, you wear whatever you're comfortable with or nothing at all. During the day, you keep it completely casual because you're not obligated to seduce anyone.
Now you know it's all about adaptability, mindset, and attitude. If others can be single and happy, so can you. If you still feel lonely from time to time and you're ready to meet THE one, it's time to get moving.
